Early Iron Maiden...

Post  Iggus on Mon Dec 07, 2009 11:05 pm

Anyone on here a fan of the early (and to me the best years) of Iron Maiden.....1980 to 1984....we have a great show announcement if you like the first three Maiden albums with Paul Di'Anno.....check back later this weekend for more details...

Bringing up Paul made me think of this NOFX song.

Pretty amusing...

NOFX's Bruce, Eddie and Paul

That would be Judas Priest - I'm a major JP fan and lesser of a fan of Maiden, though the Paul Dianno stuff is by far the best..

Di'Anno is coming to the Limelight for an all ages show on Feb 8th. He is backed by a Maiden like metal band called Icarus Witch and he will be playing mainly Iron maiden songs and a handful of things from his other bands. First time he is touring the USA in over 15 years so he is going to play what people know him for. New album sometime later...that is cool, but I want to hear the great Maiden songs that hardly get played live anymore.
I dig Priest and Maiden, but like Jeano said the early Maiden stuff is the shit. Especially "Killers", that album is one of the best metal albums period.
Noisecult and Piranah are opening the show. Starts at 7pm feb 8th. Tickets are $15 in advance $18 day of show. if you go to www.limelightnashville.com there is a banner there that you can click on and grab you a ticket. Twisted Evil
