Re: Last Movie?
In keeping with the 9 theme, the last movie I saw was District 9. It was pretty good actually, although I could have just been blinded by my shock that Hollywood produced something other than a remake.

I also saw 9 last week - great film!
I rewatched the original Amityville Horror yesterday, and my youngest son and I watched a BBC production of Dracula that was pretty good.

Probably cuz it wasn't Hollywood.
I dug the movie alot.. Main guy reminded me alot of the dude from Dead Alive.
Re: Last Movie?
I watched the Wolverine movie this morning. And other than the way they did Deadpool at the end, I really liked it a lot. they actually answered a lot of questions in ways that would work with the comic books. Of course some things were a little off, but all in all, a damn good movie and I didn't sit there going,"What the fuck?! That ain't right."

Re: Last Movie?
I just watched Return of the Living Dead 2 this weekend. Yeah, it's silly and goofy and has a kid as the main character, but it has its moments and is still worth watching. I never saw the next two sequels, so I'm planning to watch those over the next week or so.

None of them are as good as #1 obviously but #3 has always been a fun watch..
Re: Last Movie?
Took Carri to see Where The Wild Things Are Friday night. Visually, it was great, there were some touching parts and some really funny parts, but all in all, it felt like there was little or no direction. It didn't tell a story very well. Sure, you realize that Max has problems in his home life, and that the monsters are feeling a lot of the same things on the island, but I felt more irritated when I left the movie than anything. Like something was left out of the story but you couldn't quite figure out what it was.
Re: Last Movie?
I watched Dead Snow last weekend. It's a fun movie if you don't mind subtitles. The premise is alot like Evil Dead ... young'uns going to a cabin to recreate ... snicker ... only it takes place in Sweden ... and of course they awaken the "eeeeeeeee-vil" ... which in this case takes the form of Nazi zombies. Unlike Evil Dead ... no one gets out alive. A very fun movie.
I also watched Drag Me To Hell recently ... I really enjoyed that as well. But I'm a Sam Raimi fan. I've heard some say they didn't like it, but that's just crazy talk.

Watched State Of Play with Russel Crowe and Affleck. Pretty good. Lots of twists and turns and reversals.

Re: Last Movie?
Yeah Zombieland was GREAT! I saw it twice - fun movie! State of Play I've never heard of - but with Crowe and Affleck in it I'm guessing it isn't a horror movie - Or maybe it IS - haha!
Re: Last Movie?
Saw Avatar. Great flick. Interplanetary "Dances With Wolves". Animation technology has officially become scary.
Star Trek for Christmas. Abrams did a wonderful job hitting reset and making it believable and true to the spirit of the original series. Hope he makes another.
District B13, cool dystopian, action flick. (BTW, Netflix is cool if you have a decent inet connection and can't sleep)
Land of the Lost.... moving on.
Taking Woodstock, was fun seeing the other side of that music festival. Reminds me how innocent those times were.
Watched season 1 of Mad Men and Carnivale. Cool premises, great production values, good acting. I guess I'm not into series/soap operas because after about three or four episodes, I'm bored. Nothing. more precisely nobody changes.

Re: Last Movie?
CHRIS wrote:"The Hangover" and laughed my ass off the entire movie.
Zack galifinakis is ridiculous.....watch his standup stuff on youtube......his twin brother skit is just undescribable
Re: Last Movie?
The Hangover was great. Inglorious Bastards was exactly what I expected it to be. Tarantino at his best. Terminator Judgment Day was a little monotonous at the beginning but turned out to be a really decent flick. And Green Street Hooligans. Really liked this one. And Elijah Wood was actually believable in the part he played.
Re: Last Movie?
i bought the hangover, bruno, inglorious basterds, and 500 days of summer..................hangover,,,great-----------inglorious basterds-----ditto to mike's p.s. the classic one is cool too------------bruno,,,its no borat but sascha is still great at his ali g characters----------and 500 days of summer,,,,,,definetely a chick flick....it really just pissed me off...it reminded me of an old gf when we went out and why we broke up....even though im married now it still pisses me off....not too bad of a movie though.......dont buy!...............................................and for some reason i still havent seen the new family guy star wars...anyone have any reviews?

fuck yeah..............my thoughts exactly
i really like the art from the second one though......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................also...i forgot on my previous post....PARANORMAL ACTIVITY WAS AWESOME.....theres something about this movie that for real scares me....i guess the likelyhood of it really happening....i actually had to look it up like 20 minutes into it to see if it was true like a puss so i could calm down....................same way with "drag me to hell"
Re: Last Movie?
Inglorious Bastard was the shit! Dude writes some intense situations.
On New Years Eve we actually played the drinking game, the guess who you are game they played in the bar. It was a blast

Re: Last Movie?
I like the fact the Hitler and all his cronies actually got killed. Kind of an alternate universe ending or something.wolfie wrote:Inglorious Bastard was the shit! Dude writes some intense situations.

Hitler killed by a Jewish girl... don't think I've seen that anywhere. Not even Twilight Zone. The giant face projected on the smoke was BA too.
The Landa was definitely written as an evil bastard.
