newish band - The Southern Shame
I know people come on here every goddamned day, post their myspace link, and then disappear. I've been active here on and off with various usernames but forgot them and my passwords. At any rate, I'm in a band that has only been around since last fall called The Southern Shame. I'm not entirely sure how to describe us...I've been told equal parts Ramones, Dylan, and Cash. Not sure agree with that. Regardless, it's basically me playing bass and adrummer who have been in various Nashville punk bands over the last 15 years and we have teamed with our old friend and solo songwriter to start a band. Enough of my fucking explaining, just check it out and see what you think.

Checked out the songs. I dig it as well....I can see some of the Dylan comparisons, maybe due to the overall tone and harmonica ...I like the vocals, have some Clash and Davie Bowie range and delivery...Willing to Pay, and Tito were the two I liked the most.

You let us know who we need to talk to for getting a house show in the boro, and we'll set it up. We'll play anywhere, anytime.

I just moved here in August, so I don't too many people. However, if you contact the kids from desperate measures, I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.

Well, I had to check out the band that boasts members who listen to Paul Collins, so I did... and so far I'm not disappointed. I'm gonna try to make it out to the show next week.
