What happened to everyone on the old board?

Send e-mails to them notifying them of the change?
Get some bands to include site on their flyers?
Spray paint www.nashvillepunk.com on the side of the Muse?

I think that pretty much, we just need to keep telling people about it. I'm sure that since the addy didn't really change that anyone that already knew about the site can get here easily enough. And pretty much, we had a ton of people who never posted, but trolled the threads and checked the show listings. There would be 10 replies to some posts, but if you looked at the views, there would be 50 or more. Everything Chuckie said are good ideas, and some of them have been put into effect. Just not on a regular basis.

Pretend we are from TX and change the name of the board to Austin Punk/Metal.

We should get mentioned at shows, also maybe just hand out flyers at shows. Also, the bumper sticker would make a kick ass button too.

We've noticed that we get a lot of traffic. Just not a lot of people actually signing up or if they do sign up, they never post. A topic may have only 10 or 15 replies but it'll have 150 views. But those are good ideas. I usually put on fliers that the show is presented by Nashvillepunk.com.

I just posted something on craigslist last week sometime and I think that got a lot of random people stopping by and checking out the site

I know a few people but so far in my time here in nashtucky I've mostly met backstabbers and tools. I mostly stay at home. I went to a show last week. Going to shows freaks me out. I can't drink anymore so I end up standing alone in a mildly goonish manner. I'd love to have had this site recommended to me and or recommend it to other people. I'm a recluse though. Finding this site is mostly me trying to find people around here with some sort of similar tastes in music.

I was feeling bad because I was posting way too many topics on another board that wasn't local. So I googled Nashville and Punk and this was at the top of the list.

From what I gather forums are about 6 or 7 people posting and a couple hundred reading.

haha, nashtucky i like that. i live on the border too. and i can relate with the standing alone like a goon. i can't drink right now, so my inhibitions are up. i make more friends when i can actually get wasted =P seems sobriety is not helpful when it comes to meeting people.

well, we're over 100 members now - which isn't too bad at all..

I'm happy with the way things are going. Shows are being posted, bands have been formed, gear sold or traded and general bullshit has been typed. Its all good in da hood.
