Shit, if a drummer could be found, I'm all down for playing guitar. I've been wanting to get a punk band going since I moved.

Im seriously considering buying a drumset and Im down for just fucking around and it can be easier to find a drummer if you already have the kit but anyway I guess theres no point in even talking about that until I actually buy it.

I was hoping for more of a minor threat, negative approach, TSOL, DYS, Earth A.D. era Misfits type of band. Sad

the last thing my old band recorded before I moved was a cover of "I don't wanna hear it". Love me some Minor Threat.

I was thinking more of like a drug-shooting New York Dolls,Sid Vicious, male prostitution-era Dee Dee Ramone/Ramones type-a thing...No just kidding I had noted your straight-edge youth crew post...But seriously I very much do old school hardcore stuff as you listed above.Im open to whatever as long as it doesnt suck.

Well shoot yeah man.Alright well this conversation might be leading into the realm of PMs but fuck doing that individually. So heres one idea.I have a drum machine that can be used for practice(even though I think itd be cool to do vintage punk/oi! actually seriously using one) but I dont have the capacity or willingness to sit down and read and learn things from an instruction manual(its one of those push button ones you can program your own beats with) so if anyone is good at such things thatd be cool. And then I have a damp, creepy basement we can probably practice in if you dont mind breathing in black mold.(We can wear face masks itd be cool)

Dude you can record a punk classic with a drum machine if you master it and track everything. Drum machines open doors to new ways of writing songs because you have total control of where the most important part of the rhythm section is going with each song. Been there and done it. Just stay away from DEL-AL.... he can erase history..lol!
