need help setting up a hardcore/punk show

I've been in Nashville, for about 3 years now, but I haven't gotten out much. I stumbled upon this forum so hopefully i can finally start hitting up shows and making friends..

anyways...

i was wondering about setting up a show on july 8th with some friends from Oklahoma

all they need is gas money to make it to the next place.
i know its a bit in advanced, but they are trying to get the tour booked.
so if anyone could help with a venue, and some locals of similar styles to hop on, it would be much appreciated.

I was gonna say this place. It looks like it's booked the 8th though. I like Alone a lot...Stay is pretty sweet too. What's gas money gonna cost? I have friends coming in on the 8th so I need something to do anyway.

it's just a friend of mine from San Diego and possibly her man friend. I think if all goes well I'll bring my wife and who ever shows up with my friend. So like 2 to 4 people.

On a non sequitor type thing..I too have been in Nashville for three years and don't go out much either.

We are recording this weekend so you guys can hear what we sound like. As for places to play at I would say the muse, or try to find someone who does shows in their house.

ive been working like crazy, so i havent really been back to check any of this, but thanks so much for all of them help. I hope to meet some of you guys soon. I will let you guys know if anything gets put together.

This show is going to be at Rocketown. I kind of hate it there, but their was already a show booked that they wanted to hop on. It's more of a modern hardcore show, if that's what anyone is into.

i actually didnt end up setting it up, they found the show and set it up themselves. im sure if you contact rocketown they would let you though.

rockettown kind of scares me. No in a shit my pants kind of way just in a I know that I'm too old to go there in any good conscience way

yeah, I've had lame experiences there. I'm only going to see the guys.

I sent them an e-mail almost a week ago and no response yet I hope they just take their time checking e-mail. I really want to play with all those bands
