lET'S PLAY PUNK ROCK

Ive exchanged a word or two with you on here I think but I keep forgetting about this site.if your depserate enough/ have the gear/are willing to be patient with someone struggling to get on their feet and oh yeah dont have some kind of stupid fucking prejudice towards (former)tramp/squatter-punks then hit me up.Im an accomplished musician when it comes to straight punk rock and I can play (rythem)guitar,bass or drums.As far as credentials I played bass for the band who fused with and i guess became the Hudson Falcons (the First Wave).

I know this thread is close to being dead, but. Here in a couple of weeks I will be getting a set of drums. So, if you guys still want to get this thing started, let me know. I might be rusty the first couple of days playing, because I have not set behind a set of drums since 2008 or so. I think a good punk cover band would be awesome.

If you're willing to play drums, Fabio, Sean Kay (Basswinkle/Spider Fingers on here) was looking to put together a punk rock karaoke band years ago, but nobody ever stepped up to play drums.

What exactly is an "Punk Rock Karaoke Band"? Is that where you get random audience members to come on stage to do vocals for all Punk Rock cover songs ?

More or less, although I think the idea here was to have a little more planning go into the various songs, so most songs would have been practiced at least once with whoever's singing them. As far as I recall the instrumental lineup was up for similar types of one-or-two-songs, or more, participation.

if sean is still down, i wanna play guitar for the kareoke thing.

we tried it once before, but i was on drums (which i can barely play anyway) and the guitarist we played with was a little rusty so we weren't feeling it.

i'd rather have the list and let folks pick from the list.

they have a cool punk rock karaoke night in Atlanta that does well with the crowds ..

Im down with helping promote a night like this if you guys get the music going

I switched my moniker to Pigbait after getting pulled over 6 times in 5 months and thought it would make a good name for a grindcore/powerviolence type band. I need a drummer for that too if anybody knows somebody.

I know a drummer... he's been at it awhile and may be open to the occasional jam session...

but he's playing with our punk / hardcore project presently... that we need another guitarist for... *wink wink nudge nudge*

So,when and where do you guys practice at ? Also, do you guys have anything posted to listen to on the net ? I am interested in playing some guitar. Just let me know.
