Fun Fun Fun Fest

So, I ended up getting a vendor booth at the FFF Fest in Austin, TX and I have to say it was one of the best times I have ever had.

just a short list of bad ass bands that were there:

Bad Religion
Gwar
Suicidal Tendencies
The Decendents
Mastadon
Casualties
The Vandals
The Dwarves
Municipal Waste
Strike Anywhere
Valient Thorr
The Bronx
Off!
Peelander Z
The Briggs

and tons of other acts, including Weird Al and Slick Rick, UGK and Pharoahe Monch for the Hip Hop fans. there were also a lot of after hours shows going on around town and everything was about a $8 cab ride from the fest grounds.

It was fucking AMAZING!!!

I suggest going next year if anyone has the chance. They had weekend passes with all you can drink Heineken and free burritos for $120 or I think it was $35 a day otherwise

Keith Morris, Steve Brunner (Bassist for S.T.) and a guy from Peelander Z came by the booth and got a bunch of Stik Man shit. Abe from the Carry Ons got a signed book from Greg Graffin and gave him a bunch of our cd's. We got to see Mastadon sound check at midnight when the festival was shut down. and we hung out with some of the guys from the Casualties, Lower Class Brats and Krum Bums at Red 7 watching Scream play. (LCB also played, but we missed them)

I must say Austin is one of my new favorite cities.

Im definitely going next year.

I'm stunned at all the acts I like that were there. What was Keith Morris doing there? And did Weird Al perform?

i went to the FFFFest the year i got back from iraq and i waited too late to go on the last day and found an empty parking lot full of trash. austin is ok, it's too bad it's in TX.

and yeah, Weird Al preformed for about 2 hours I think.

i did (drugs) with mastadon when they played the next generation. they partied at my buddy miles's house after the show.

but that was a long time ago.
