Mike_Sims wrote:Good shows, just little promo. And anyone from Beat Officers that can swing by the Muse and pick up tickets to sell would be appreciated. Logan is really pushing this pre sale ticket thing.Emmanuel wrote:I'll probably go to this. I haven't listen to ska in awhile........or been to the muse in awhile. Is it me or is the muse not having all the good shows like it used to? Or are they and not promoting it anymore?
Definitely, I'll coerce one of the boys since I don't live in Nash.

Its cause KD and Mike aren't booking them anymore.
Re: The Toasters Jan 21st.
A buddy of mine from work likes the Meatmen and said he would come out. So I'd probably come out too if for no other reason than that he rarely gets out to the shows.
Re: The Toasters Jan 21st.
I'd be there for the Meatmen. I wanted to go see them in Lexington or whereever they played a few months ago, but there was a show the same night here in nashville.
So count me in for the Meatmen..if that happens.

Re: The Toasters Jan 21st.
meatmen might be one of those bands that out of nowhere will have a huge crowd. You know there's alot of folks who wouldn't go near a regular punk show that would come out.
then again those folks might not hear about it or have quit shows all together or something, but thats the gamble.
wierd....by the way i wrote this before seeing matt's reply.

Re: The Toasters Jan 21st.
Bobby from the nuns said they packed the hell out in LEX when they played. But once again ...Bobby knows how to promote a show.
Re: The Toasters Jan 21st.
You know you have a point there Wak. They only people I ever hear or see promoting shows anymore are the kids in the Hardcore scene. They are mainly based out of rocket town and little Hamilton. As far as I remember though..the muse has always been pretty empty, but hey..so was CBGB'S most nights and so are a lot of other well know rock bars on any given night. That's just the way it goes some times. Promoting and booking shows is a huge gamble in most citieswakmaster wrote:Emmanuel wrote:I'll probably go to this. So does that mean the guy I mentioned? He's not really a punk rocker, he just likes the odd punk band. If it meant me, I do what I can between four bands' worth of practice, work, etc. For the record I was really looking forward to this Toasters show but I have a kid who decided to be in a school play this year and I just found out it opens Friday.

Re: The Toasters Jan 21st.
Word seems to have traveled quite a bit for this show. So I'm hoping people come out of the wood work. I personally think its gonna rock. I'm just sorry I have to work and won't get there until after The Beat Officers. Gonna see if I can get off early though.
Re: The Toasters Jan 21st.
Holy shit this was a good show. Only wish I had gotten off work in time to see the beat officers. But I did get to dance with the gorgeous Miss Dani.
Re: The Toasters Jan 21st.
Twas a pleasure, that was a blast Mike. I had so much fun it was criminal and I'm paying for it today. It was a good show.
Re: The Toasters Jan 21st.
Well let's hope that it continues. I'm going to talk to Logan about putting together some other shows and actually helping with promo on all or most of his shows.
