Punk band from NYC looking for Nashville show 3/26
Hi all,
The Challenged are stringing together a 10 day jaunt to Wisconsin and back. I would love to get a Nashville show. If any bands/bookers want to help us set something up, it would be really awesome.
We're shooting for Saturday March 26th, +/- a day.
You can check us out at
http://www.thechallenged.com
I hope we can make it happen!
Thanks!
Colin

Re: Punk band from NYC looking for Nashville show 3/26
My band, Elevens Up, fits this bill. Old (bad) recordings available at myspace.com/elevensup. Not sure about the best place to book this. To be honest pop-punk is probably better off playing bar shows than all-ages shows in Nashville proper, unless you're the Queers or something. The options are:
The Muse, all-ages, currently one bill has holds on the 25th and 26th but eventually they should make up their minds. 27th is wide open. Pop-punk probably won't attract a crowd on any of these nights. Of course my drummer prefers to play out on Friday & Saturday 'cause he works from like 3AM Sunday-Friday. Also, members of this forum have had trouble getting reasonable door money out of the house for touring bands. Just saying.
The End, 18+, has always seemed like a pain in the ass to book at but probably the best bar choice if we could get in. Friendly to Teen Idols, Queers, etc. I could try to play the Teen Idol card, which I rarely do.
Springwater, 21+, built in crowd, not necessarily into the genre but usually _some_ kind of response.
Outside Nashville there are a few other options all-ages and not, e.g. Clarksville, Dickson.
Anybody else have any ideas?

I've never made it out to Little Hamilton, but I had the impression they were a lot about hardcore. Does anyone who has been to shows at Little Hamilton have anything to say about the expected reception pop-punk would see there?
Rocketown might be an okay choice from a money point of view. I really couldn't say, never having played there. I personally don't think the kids that go to that place care what they're seeing as long as somebody else told them it was cool, but I'm a dick like that. If I played there to a good response I think I'd be insulted. Finally, I'm pretty sure I couldn't get my bass player to set foot in the place a second time. But if The Challenged want and are able to get booked there, I wish them well.
The Precinct has apparently been gaining notoriety of late rechristened as Glenn Danzig's House. Anybody been out there? They seem to have been doing indieish stuff, but I think a lot of indie types think they're listening to pop-punk anyway. I haven't yet been able to find any contact info for this club.

Awesome, thanks guys!
We'd love to play a house show. Do you know how to get in touch with Glen Danzig's House?

Since my oldest is 16 now I get to go to rocket town quite frequently. I think it's great..

Hey guys, I checked back on the calendar for our main local all-ages venue, The Muse. You originally said plus or minus a day; they now have the 25th and 27th, though not the 26th open. My drummer can't do Sundays, but we'd be glad to do the Friday show with you guys if you want me to try to get that date, or I can put you in touch with the club owner if you'd rather do the Sunday.
I never heard shit about Glenn Danzig's House.
