I've been hearing about Off! since KD came back from that thing, so being a big Circle Jerks fan I went to check it out last week. It's not bad, sounds real Black Flag-ish to me, but it doesn't come close to Circle Jerks in my opinion.

Ordered my copy this past Sunday from their website. I love it because of the black flagish sound. I love that Demetri Coats kept the old Hiwatt(basically plexi or JMP) vintage guitar sound and did not ruin it with all the new high fangled do ma gadgets and amps out their right now. It sounds exactly like I expected it too. I really don't think they were even trying to be anything like the circle jerks. Keith said in an interview that he did the project because the circle jerks new songs were not panning out the way he thought they should. So when Demetri kept coming over bugging him about off he said fuck it..let's just do it and see what happens.

I didn't assume they were trying to sound like anything other than what they do sound like, if they were trying at all. I just said I like Jerks better.
