JULY 19TH MY BIRTHDAY

I want to bring Municipal Waste, and a few other here for my birthday. Anyone that has contacts and ideas let me know.I want to have a blowout fucking metal/thrash/hardcore show. Fuck my birthday lets do it the saturday nght closest to it. Lets put a Badass show together! and party! it will be mid-summer so the beer will be cold!

Yeah I understand about the cover. I just wonder what those guys are asking. I mean I have the ability to go through the process of getting them here, but now I am thinking the same thing as you. Hell...those dudes are like fucking slayer now. Hell I'd have to book it at the damn exit/in or bigger. Who are some other cool party metal/thrash bands we could bring here. Let's start throwing some cheap shows with some solid fucking thrash and hardcore bands. Bands we can bring on a saturday night and have a good time ,plus get a quality show. On top of that we will be giving local kids a chance to experience top notch up and coming bands.

thats right next to mine and b's birthday too. they could play my bro's basement. he's a big fan of theirs. i dont care for them but it would still be a good time.

i really like their guitar though.

didn't they play rocket town not that long ago? My bet would be at least $1000 to cover just them. They are getting some good tour offers so they might be stuck on a package tour as well this summer. Be a cool show if you could get them. Who else are you thinking about?

What about some killer punk bands. I would like to see The Methadones, The Copyrights,The Queers, The Teen Idols and The Riverdales (I Think they are touring again) That's killer summertime party music..
FUCK tha's a good idea...I might start looking into a few of them in the morning. The kids will love all those fucking bands.

I would love to see The Riverdales. I had no idea they are still together.

Are the Teen Idols still around? I thought they broke up.

God... I remember seeing them at Lucy's when I was like 14. haha.

Teen Idols broke up in late 2003 and re-formed I think last year, largely due, in my opinion, to Fat Mike's having bumped into Phillip and Keith in one place and telling them he wanted them to do another Teen Idols album for him.

Thats awesome. They were a great band. I remember seeing them when NOFX played 328 with Swinging Utters and Teen Idols. The bass player got up and did Lori Meyers with NOFX. That was such a great show.

Isn't Phillip in The Queers now or was?

Phillip has played touring bass with several bands over the years including The Queers, The Independents, and, impressively, one of Marky Ramone's projects. IIRC Joe Queer fired Phillip and whatever drummer was playing with them at the time because they had gotten too drunk too many times or something like that...? The Independents fired him when they couldn't afford to fly him to SC to start a tour, and then he decided to re-form TI. FWIW, I guess he also played 2nd guitar in Screeching Weasel before they broke up.

Fahrenheit opened for both the Queers and the Independents, all in the same like two weeks, I was in shock most of those two weeks.
