Metal Guitarist Available

My name is Justin. I'm 18 and I'm looking for a speed thrash band. I want something fast and technical, but with enough vocal melody so that we don't sound like Kreator or Slayer. My main influences are Megadeth (Rust In Peace and Countdown), Anthrax and Kreator. My main guitar influences are Dave Mustaine, Marty Friedman, and Oli Herbert. I am a lead/rhythm player and have vocal capabilities. I can sing lead or back up. I do have compositional skills. Anyone interested?

do you have anything recorded with you playing or singing on it?

yeah, but their from my old band. You probably remember checking out The Edge of Beyond. Well, frankly, that's about it. Night Angel has my back up on it, and that plus Angels of the Arch and No World So Dark...Forever in Twilight have my leads on them. We had some personality clashes. It was mainly about control. I had to just leave.

I'm just as intrigued when people say speed thrash as 18 year old kids saying that they had an old band... none the less. it's cool that you ant to start a band.

Haha. I have always revered early metal. It's been very difficult for me to get into newer metal. The way I see it, all the individual feelings you get from every other sub-genre of metal, you can get all of it from thrash, but merely my opinion. Anyways, as far as the "Old Band" remark, I guess former band would have been more professional, but oh well.

give me a call. i love megadeth to. except those years between youthanasia(which is pushing it) and after he had the accident. i like the new stuff. i can't write for shit, but i can play ok, it might take me a few weeks to get my right hand up to speed (i've been with my girlfriend for a year and a half so it hasn't been getting as much use as before....).

do you have a place to play in the boro?

oh and i play bass and drums too. i have gear, but i might not be able to transport my bass amp for the moment because the 8x10 doesn't fit in my corolla.

I can give just about anyone in the smyrna buro area a ride... that is if your bass amp will fit in a grand marquis trunk. I kind of have been not playing anything but I've been making "noise" stuff with a shitty synth and a bunch of feed back stuff since I quit playing. So if that would fit into a metal band set up then cool... if not then cool.

i am pretty sure it won't fit in the trunk. it's roughly the size of a refridgerator!

Yeah I know how big those type of amps are...wow. I could probably fit something the size of a standard half stack back there and another half stack in the back seats. I kind of had a mind fog there and skipped over your mentioning of it being an 8X10

What year Grand Marquis is it? You might fit that thing in the back seat.

yeah we used to get my friend matt's into the back of a 95 or so thunderbird.

it's a 2000. it's not as big as they used to be when they were blocky.

Dunno, the old school ones you might could've fit it in the trunk. Our Grand Marquis is a 1995 and it would probably, not sure though, fit an 8X10 in the back seat. I tell you what though, the girl that plays bass for Flashcut Pinups has a Hartke 8X10 and her husband fit it in like a hatchback...

Ive fit a 8x10 in my Volkswagon beetle before .. No one else could have rode with me, but it made it to the studio when the van was broke down
