The Beat Officers need a drummer!

Our drummer had to leave and now we need a new one.

We're a ska band. Female fronted. 1 guitarist, 1 bass player, 1 trumpet, 1 trombone.

In this whole damn town there doesn't seem to be one person who can step up and drum for a band on a roll. That is BULLSHIT. I'm glad I'm playing in a genre that's so alive, well, and loved.

Yeah finding a Punk type drummer in Nashville is as hard as running into someone here that doesn't play guitar ..

Ive been looking for about 2 years and still haven't been able to find someone who's not in another band, can actually play and is not a complete ass or idiot

I am seriously thinking about buying a set of drums, and playing again. I have not been in a band in like 3-4 years where I was playing the drums. In my last band, I started out playing drums for about 1 1/2 years, but had to stop playing cause I have a jacked up wrist, so I then moved to bass for like 9 months, because our bassist quit and went to an indie rock band, then moved to guitar for another year, after our guitarist moved on. I wish I never sold my drum kit. I miss playing.

Just two people over time. This is the first band I've been in with so many members. Seems to be a common thing with larger groups or so I'm told. ..... I'm hoping we don't lose anymore but it will happen eventually.... just like any other band.

Yes! We scored a pretty good drummer. He knows how to play the genre pretty well so we're excited.

A ska band is apparently like a revolving door. Also, fuck dealing with people who join bands for the glory of the title, shit takes work. I'm not trying to be an asshole but when people lack drive I don't want to play with them...

So does that mean the new drummer fell through?

Not at all, the new guy is amazing. I was just referring to the "going through members" comment. It's hard to find a large group of dedicated people.
